Flybe to operate Waterford-Manchester route from May

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, has announced today (March 5) that it will operate four times weekly on the Waterford-Manchester route from Monday, May 22.

Convenient and affordable flights are now available from Waterford via Birmingham to Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow International in Scotland as well as to Guernsey in the Channel Islands; Paris (CDG) and Nice in France; and Dusseldorf and Stuttgart in Germany. Passengers can book on just one booking transaction to include the connecting flight.

The flights are now available to book on www.flybe.com with fares starting from €37 each way including taxes and charges. Appealing to business and leisure passengers, the new Waterford-Manchester services will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

“For outbound passengers, we can now offer excellent direct services to Manchester which is a great city destination serving northwest England. It is also a great hub from where passengers have the choice of many connecting flights on Flybe’s extensive network throughout the UK and continental Europe. In addition, there are also seamless onward connections available through the airline’s code-share and interline partners to a huge a range of worldwide destinations when booked through a travel agent.

“From an Irish tourism perspective, Waterford and the southeast has always had close ties to the northwest England market and this direct air route will allow us promote the region to a huge potential market in this year of The Gathering when the southeast has a great deal to offer visitors on the back of the major investment there has been at key tourism sites in the region.
